Isn't this stocking adorable, someone took a long time making it years ago.  And the aged look is what is so appealing to me, anything old and worn tells the story of being loved and cherished...

And ANY victorian scraps make my heart leap, especially on this pink linen....

The strap on this necklace is soo beautiful I love the yellow color, they are actually from a strand of vintage hand cut crystals that I repurposed...

Terry had to go take care of his parents last nite, so after I made dinner for the kids I had time to play, the kind of play that just happens, looking at stuff on my table.  I love it when you have no plans on making anything, it just naturally comes together...  I started making tags, then a few fabric collages...

What a blessed Thanksgiving...  We had a quiet dinner at my parents home, unfortunately my sister and her children couldn't make it, which sucked but I will see them soon at Christmas...  My mothers dinner was awesome as normal.  There are SOOO many things to be Thankful for....  and everyday I think of these things.,... and NEVER want to take ANYTHING for granted... life is to precious..

this is a photo of a milagro I made fron tin, a coke a cola can, vintage glass cabachoons, vintage locket with a pearl accent with a picture of a girl on it...  It's adorned with glitter, flowers, a vintage beaded chain  and the wording says "Bless your little heart"

Here is a picture of all my necklaces in the rough, being ready to be made.  I gathered all the materials and then I finally got them together..  I have lots of things to list to my etsy shop TONITE... time is running out...

I am nursing my sweet boy kitten Mr. Miagi back to health.  He injured himself, I don't know how, maybe a fight with an outside cat, or he just got hung up on something...  But he ventured outside and didn't come in by dark, so I was getting VERY worried.  He finally ran in the door and hid under my bed.  Once I got him out, I discovered his injury a big scratch on his head (not bad though) and on his paw his toe is hanging off.  We took him to the vet and got antibiotics and he is a trooper, but he's gonna be okay...  He is very much loving me taking care of him, and it really doesn't even seem to bother him too much.  I think no more outside for him....

 

Today is a gift,,,,, celebrate...

I celebrated another Birthday with my sweet hubby Terry and it was awesome.  I am NOT one of those people who hates birthdays or hates growing older.  I am so thankful and grateful to be able to grow older with the man of my dreams....

 

I made him a silly birthday hat and a banner...

 
 
Terry loves anything and everything I make so I made him a fabric birthday card (especially after reading Ruth Rae's book, fabric is what I grabbed to work with)...
 

I wish time would slow down...

Time is just passing TOO fast...  I wish it would slow down...  It's already November 21st.  Christmas is almost a month away, yikes it is coming so quickly, and sooo much to dooo...

Here are three books I purchased.  Haven't been buying many books lately (I have TOO many books) but I HAD to have Cynthia Thornton's and Ruth Rae's new books.  Cynthia is from Green girl Studios and I have loved her beads she makes, well this book with each project she has her journal pages with magical tales of magical beings, such a great read, once I started I couldn't stop.  And Ruth Rae's book is wonderful, her style is so unique.  Then the third book is of shops in Paris, we were hoping to go in 2010 so I thought I should get it...

Aren't they too cute together?  I AM SOOO happy I got Mr. Miagi's sister for him.  They give me many hours of joy, watching them play...
 My latest painting of them, a little crude but I like it.  I need to learn to start shading, but it seems like after I get painting I'm afraid I'm gonna mess it up with shading.  How silly is that?  Any suggestions or tips on shading would be greatly appreciated...  Please leave a comment...
